Food, glorious food…” That’s one of 3 yr. old Rachel’s favorite little song lines (from Ice Age 2). I thought of it last night as I browsed through the garden and then made dinner from my finds. The potatoes came from a neighbor, but the onion, green tomato, broccoli, green pepper, and rat-tailed radishes all came from my garden. The ground chicken is, of course, from us. I’ve been feeling under served by my garden since the beans and
corn are so far behind, but I realized last night that all the food we need is out there–I just better get out there and find it! I didn’t gather any dill or cilantro, but they would’ve made great seasonings. We eat like millionaires here!
