Description

How important is  your health? Your food security? Your need to reconnect with your roots in the dirt?  This is your opportunity to invest in yourself, your piece of land, and your community.

If you are ready to reconnect intimately with your food and to start growing something you can put on your dinner plate, we can help!  The Homesteader’s Guild is a group of like minded folks figuring out how to raise their own food with the guidance of long time farmer Mark Baker.  Mark will guide you through the processes needed to survive and thrive in your own little patch of earth.

You can watch YouTube videos and read books to learn this information. In fact, we have a lot of videos on YouTube and Facebook for exactly that purpose.  AND if you are looking for something more, for a personal conversation and a supportive community of like minded folks, the Homesteader’s Guild is the only place you can find that without traveling and on your schedule. As a member of the Homesteader’s Guild you will also have access to an experienced farmer who can talk from experience about what you are trying to raise, help you troubleshoot your efforts in real time, and you will have a supportive group with you on the exclusive, private facebook forum and the live calls to encourage you and expand your knowledge base so much faster.  This is an online classroom where you get to participate in the cooperative learning aspects of a brick and mortar school, and don’t have to leave home to do it.

Some of the topics covered over the course of 12 weeks include:

Water management and use

Soil preparation

How to start chickens

Food preservation

Procuring resources (a.k.a. Scounging)

Butchering
