Anyone Can Farm “Tribe Day” July 8 & 9, 2023

You’re not alone! Alternative ways of schooling, homesteading and farming, learning, and living simply require an alternative community. Join us on July 8 & 9, 2023 for a weekend of discovery, Enjoy community, homestead skill learning.  Spend a weekend, or just the day, with like minded homesteading folks to learn homesteading skills, talk around the campfire, and share good food. Participate in workshops designed to help you gain self-sufficiency and independence by learning about homesteading skills for the beginner through advanced homestead farmer. Workshops and final pricing to be determined. But we are working on amazing new things for 2023! Save the date! 

Children are welcome and activities will be provided for them.  Lunch will be potluck around a pig roast. We’ll provide table service. Limited rustic camping sites are available on the farm with a reservation. Join us around the campfire Saturday evening for some homestead farm fellowship.

It's like a two for one deal!  Saturday is the workshop day, with planned activities for kids and workshops on various homesteading skills for all who want to learn. Sunday is a skill share day, where you can learn from each other any and various skills! Only available as a package deal, you get to spend two quality days with others who think like you (scary as that may be) and learn skills that will enrich you and your family.

Spend a weekend, or just the day, with like-minded homesteading folks at this homestead conference in beautiful northern lower Michigan to learn homesteading skills, talk around the campfire, and share good food. Participate in workshops designed to help you gain self-sufficiency and independence by learning about homesteading skills for the beginner through advanced homestead farmer.

Day one includes workshops taught by experienced farmers and homesteaders. We'll enjoy a potluck lunch. There are structured activities for the kids.  You're welcome to stay for dinner and a campfire (family friendly) at the end of the day.  Camping is available on farm Friday and/or Saturday night.

Day two will be a skill share day! We're not sure exactly how it'll look yet, but popular demand has been heard. Stay tuned for more information.

Previous years have included workshops on cheese making, raising goats, raising and processing, food preservation, seed saving, bees, and more.  Topics this year will include:
