Raw Mangalitsa back fat, ground and ready for you to render. Back fat makes a great all purpose lard, useful for frying eggs, chicken or donuts, or making biscuits. Seven to nine pound bags.
Rendering your own lard is an easy process. Simply heat in a crock pot, double boiler, or in the oven to around 225 degrees. Hold there, stirring often, until bubbles no longer rise to the surface and the solid pieces sink. Strain through a linen cloth or cheese makers cheese cloth. Cool. Store in the fridge or freezer.
